Dr. Meredith's Comments: Diagnosed with scabies, aka sarcoptic mange. Take note of missing hair around his left eye and underarms; look at the poor coat condition and its flaky appearance. Although you can't appreciate it from these pics, BJ's ear flaps were thickened and scaly...classic for scabies. Plus, he constantly scratched on himself during the whole exam. Remember, scabies is contagious to humans!! Part of treatment plan included using Davis' Benzoyl Peroxide Shampoo as well as placing pup on TheraCoat.
